2nd Annual HHR Cedar Point Meet Pics/Stories
2nd Annual HHR Cedar Point Meet July 11-13th, 2008 Hard to believe after all this time planning we are finally upon the event. This thread is dedicated for your pics and stories from the meet. Chris and I left Hillsdale yesterday morning and arrived in Sandusky. We scouted out all the event locations and got in contact with Bill and Linda from HHR Boutique. Took a few trips to the pool and had a nice steak for dinner. Around 11 pm we were lucky to witness a funny display of human ignorance from our hotel room window. A family of four pulled up in their minivan that was apparently rented as they had no idea how to operate its features. Between the father and mother it took them over an hour to figure out how to shut off the dome light and lock the doors. In the process, they also managed to set off the car alarm. Chris and I were cracking up and I was glad for once that it was someone else and not me :D |
Its awesome its finally here but now i don't have it to look forward too anymore.:(

We'll be on our way later this afternoon! We have other obligations for Sunday though, so we won't be able to make the RRHoF cruise as planned. :(

Drive over from Chicago wasn't bad... even the city was nice enough to let us through fairly unscathed. :)

Yes what a blast thanks to everyone that came, it was a blast hanging out with you all. Congrats to all the Trophey winners!! And once again Dayton and Chris thank you! I will post pics maybe tonight if not then Sunday night. Ok off to Olive Garden to meet up with some of you, then hopefully whip you guys in go kart racing.

We just got home! I had to say what a great time we had. It was fun to see everyone from the first Cedar Point G2G and we met a bunch of great people that came out for this gathering for the first time. (3 times the HHR's for this years event)
I also want to take some time to thank all the great sponsors for this event! Everyone went home with some great door prizes and a loaded goody bag. It was also nice to see a vendor show up in person, HHRBoutique.com was there with all kinds of goodies for the HHR for us to see and buy. I also want to give a huge thank-you to Dayton and Chris(HillsdaleHHR and ChritonHHR) for all the hard work they did to put this all together. You guys did an awesome job!!! :thumb: We can't wait to see you all again! Have fun at the RRHoF!! |

Keep every one in line and I really don't feel bad cause I can not be there :( but I see that ChevyGrl is there for the Daytona Blue folks :bow:. Same here... have been having a blast with you all. Been just as much fun in reality as it was shaping up to be in the weeks prior. Hate to have to go back to the Windy City tomorrow.

Tom you definently need to upload the vidoes from the go karts, we'll see you all tomorrow its not over yet, still a fun day tomorrow. Hey paul, just wanted to say your family rocks and we can't wait to meet up with you guys again. You and chris (if thats how you spell it) are like 20 year olds trapped in adult bodies Lmao. Glad you guys made it home safe.

Well, we're up and getting ready to meet everyone for breakfast before heading to the RRHofF! It's going to be hard saying goodbye~we have had such a fantastic time meeting everyone! Thank's to all of you for helping me make some new memories, because you're all in them!

Just got home and wanted to say it was great seeing all of you. It was a great turn out and we had alot of fun. There were a few sidetracks in the event but over all it went well. We met a couple at dinner one night who had just bought 2 HHR's. Hopefully they join the site soon :thumb:
Who got lost?!? Pretty bad when OnStar gets you lost :D and don't forget the Tom Tom's direction to get us back on track :lol: Going to rest for awhile and will post more later. Let's start hearing ideas for C.P. III. |

Have to give Foster Chevrolet a :thumbsdow though as they didn't show saturday :( , but we didn't even miss them :p: It was great meeting everyone, there are really some great people on this site...brought together by this cool little car we all have!
