I hear ya...I'm in the same boat We'd love to have you if you want to make the trip! At todays gas prices, it would cost you around $352 round trip, getting 30mpg (you'd probably do a bit better though) + hotels, food...

Hey, if I made the meet last year from Miami (half the distance though), you got no excuses.

 

Talked to the Super Chevy show staff today...after they sent me the form for the club "discount", I see that it's based on the $45 participant ticket, which is the judged show. We won't be able to do the judged show, as you must be present on sunday to be judged. Therefore we will participate in the "non-judged" show-n-shine on saturday. This form does not mention non-judged participation, so I'll call them back tomorrow to see if they'll allow the $35 ticket to be discounted...if not, we'll be money ahead to get the $35 tickets rather than the discounted $45 tickets...I'll post after I talk to them again

 

Nice work, and thanks for the update! I would think that they would discount the $35 ticket. Let us know if we'll need to pre-pay and hopefully we can get a firm # of ppl going the the Chevy Show.

Jeff and I worked out most of the details for the show on sunday so here goes

11:00- meet at shoreline
12:00- leave shoreline for lunch at (TBA)
1:30 - meet back at shoreline
1:30-2:00 - clean your car after that dirty ride in
2:00 - 2:30 - Judging

1. Best in Show - Best all Around HHR
2. Best interior - Best interior mods including audio/video
3. Best Detail - Cleanest HHR
4. Best Performance Mods - best performance mods over stock (just buying an SS is not a performance mod
5. Best Engine Compartment - Shinest, Cleanest, Best Looking Engine Compartment
2:30-3:00 - mingle (and time for us to add up the votes)
3:00-whenever - Awards
After awards - giveaways
After all is said and done - hang out, say goodbye to everyone
