Dog n' Suds Meet
I can't believe that spring is almost here and Dog n Suds is getting ready to open up for the season. They plan on opening on February the 28th. Just wondering if anyone would like to meet on there first day open. I plan on being at the 601 Sagamore Parkway South location the minute they open at 11:00 am. I understand they are offering 79 cent coney dogs for the first three days they are open. Can't wait to get a taste of summer again - coney dogs and root beer in a frosty mug.

I sure do MISS Dog N Suds around here.
Grew up with one in our town it closed up long ago as did most of them in the Chicago area.
Saw one I think in the western suburbs several years ago now, at least 7 and it was all Original with the dog junpin the fence neon sign. I Loved that old sign as a kid.
Ours as a kid remodeled and then the sign was just the words dog n suds on it. (No wonder it closed.) lol
I liked the Coney Dogs and the Pizza Burgers and the made on site Root Beer of course.
I can still get a "taste" of them at a former Dog N Suds locally they Kept the menu when they all closed up here and it is called The Frosted Mug.

My fondest memories of growing up was going to the Dog N Suds with my grandparents in grandpas old chevy pickup. Ever since they passed away I at least go back once a year on my grandparents anniversary. I also take my boys each year - hopefully they will take there kids there (when they have kids and if they are still one then).

68chappy, I have an appointment at DeFouw's shop to have the front repair work done on my HHR at 0800 that morning. I,m hoping that they will have it done before 1100. Regardless if they do or don't I will be there, it's a short distance to walk.

Yum - coney dogs and ice cold root beet on a chilly day. Arrived at 1045 and they were already serving. Got mine, then backed out so someone else could get some, and then parked next to pavilion at ate it. Started getting to busy to just sit there, so I left at around 1110. Sorry if I missed you - might have to make another time later in the year.

Yep - all the clunking is gone now .
All of the items replaced were on the driver’s side (sway bar link, strut, and lower control arm).
I'm glad that I picked up the extended warranty when I bought my HHR.
Only bad part about it was the initial cost and it only covers to 75,000 miles, but I think with this one repair I might have made up for the cost.
I would hate to see what this would have cost me if I did not have the extended warranty.
They told me at the dealership that if I wanted the passenger side strut replaced it would cost $225 .
Also, the lower control arm is one big piece and I would hate to see what that would have cost.
