I feel special. My '07 (I bought it right after Christmas) gets about 27 in "normal" driving, and over 33 on the highway with the cruise at 70.

One question everyone: Are your mileage numbers you're posting from the DIC (computer) or are you doing the math manually, after a fill-up?

I did the math on my new HHR and it's 29.5 so far, with only 500 miles on the car. The DIC says it's a lot lower - around 22-25

So small, not noticable. I know, I've made the switch.

If we can convert another PT owner to the HHR and welcome to the site also.

My mix of driving to work averages 28 and trips using premium have been averaging 32.2. Not bad for a Deer Slaying HHR..

All figures are per my computer. 2006 1LT, 2.4 automatic. Lowest I've gotten over 100 or so miles is 25 mpg. Averages 26.5 to 28 mpg running the living snot out of it on my daily commute (43 miles of in-town & twisty 2 lane highway). Hit 32 mpg climbing Afton Mountain on I-64 in Virginia, running 75 and fully loaded with gear for a Civil War reenactment. Equal to my late Cavalier and better than Malibu trade-in on mileage, about the same as my old MG's.

Monday in Michigan...!

Thanks to those who welcomed me to the blog!
I installed a K&N air filter element and it seems to have made a small difference on acceleration and I'll keep an eye on the mileage as well!

I run NOTHING but premium in mine, and the mileage I get is always between 32&36MPG! I also changed to a K&N filter.I have never gotten less than 32 since I switched the filter and to premium gas!
