IMHO Tony's is overpriced and overrated. Some portions are huge while others aren't(For example,I've had bigger burgers at Ruby Tuesday's,Wendys, and Halo Burger)and the food quality is just average.
If you wanna go for a longer ride once we're up that way the Mio Pizza Shop-home of the world's best breadsticks and darn good pizza-(better even than Tomato Brothers!) is another roughly 2 hours up the road(about where M72 meets M33).Now THAT'S a road trip!

Ha ha, well that's about all there is in Mio!!!!

As for downtown Flint, all I can tell you is make sure you go there next time you come home, it's amazing how much it has changed in recent years! Blackstone's is right downtown on Saginaw St. (Next to the Mott Building) and it's my favorite restaurant. Really good food, at an average price, with a great atmosphere! Wiseguy's Pizza is across the street and they have really good pizza by the slice. It's like Sbarro's in the mall, but cheaper with bigger pizza. Slice of pizza and a pop is only $4.

You guys know how much I like Flint, so I'd be all up for a trip downtown! We might have to pay to park in the new parking garage, but it'd be a heck of a lot easier than for us all to find parking on the street!!!

Guess it depends if you are going to go for a 1 day or 2 day event. I wouldn't have a problem with driving back down to Flint since it would be on my way home. Not sure about those that would be coming from the north though. That would be an extra 60 miles round trip for them.

I'll have to check those out when I go home in a few weeks. My wife wants to go see her dad who works at U of M downtown and get lunch with him, so I'll be in the area.

Make sure to check out 501 Bar and Grill (right next to Wiseguy's) It's a good atmosphere for a casual dinner/lunch and talking.

I could only make this one if this was on the weekend of either the 7th or the 21st. I have to work the other two weekends.

I'm thinking it looks like the 21st is going to work the best.

Next we need to decide if everyone wants to do a one day, or overnight/weekend thing? There's quite a bit to do, so we could probably fill a weekend, but it doesn't matter to me.

We probably wouldn't do a whole weekend thing but we might be able to swing an overnight thing.
