Wow sounds pretty rough until it gets past that initial cold start...then idles out pretty nice. Very tuner 4 banger sounding...but not bad. I like it.

Sounds like every other P.O.S. Honda that has no mufflers, or a big fartcan hanging out the back bumper. Sorry, not a fan

not trying to be mean. just giving you an honest opinion

I do like honesty.....

It is better in person...but I can agree with you to a certain extent. The best sounding 4 cylinder exhaust is the wrx sti's, and its because of the way the exhaust manifold is designed. You can never make a 4 banger sound like a v8. I'm probably going to weld on a magna flow, or atleast weld my stock muffler back on.

But to be honest, its not terrible IMO, but its just a bit to loud for me

I could not agree with you more. I am TOTALLY a V-8 guy (I have a GTO and a big block Camaro) and a 4 cylinder will never have anything close to that sound, so lot's of small displacement engines sound like crap to me, but if my HHR could have any sound other than stock, the WRX exhaust note would be it.

weld up the Magna flow, save yourself some " Yes,officer I'll have it repaired and see you at the station tomorrow, to prove it" stops

There are some POS cars in the city of buffalo....I have nothing to worry about with the noise violation

in all seriousness, the turbo muffles out most of the sound, in fact, under 2,000 RPM's or granny driving, the sound is just a little louder than stock. the problem is if I get on it(once in a while) its overpowering inside the car. some people can drive like it, but, I would prefer it with a nice aftermarket muffler.
