Painted Charge Pipes!

I got bored today, and decided to paint my hahn charge pipes. I only painted the visible portions(2 pieces). I used duplicolor metal specks ocean blue. I originally wanted the duplicolor mirage which is a color shift, but no one carried it

3-4 coats of the blue. then 3 coats of clear gloss...The metal specks are supposed to be good up to 500* F so I should be good with the heat...

I will post some installed pictures tomorrow, after they dry overnight...Its not exactly easy to install these in the dark

I don't really like the textured look of the ZZP pipes(if thats what those are). The smooth looks way better IMO

I'm really lovin' on those blue ones. Nice job, I would wait a while to put them on, but I have a spare to drive...

I got a trailblazer if needed...but they should be good to put on tomorrow...they will have had 12+ hours to dry...

I can't wait to see what they will look like installed...Not to rub it in but they would match your blue SS better than my dark blue SS

I almost bought the orange metal specks which is close to GM's sunburst orange metallic. I had an artists moment in the store and thought that maybe the orange would be cool because it would really stick out(opposites on the color wheel) from the dark blue...but I decided on the blue instead.

After the install, I think I may paint the airbox lid, and fuse box cover. I don't want it to be overpowering though...I will have to see how it looks.
