Any interest in a fiberglass hood?

I've been messing with the idea of making a fiberglass hood for my HHR SS with a built in scoop of some kind and wanted to see if their was any kind of interest out their if i was to make a mold and what type would people be interested in.

This would not be something i make in my garage. The company i work for has been making fiberglass hot rod bodies and parts for 30 years and all our parts are hand laid top quality pieces.

some ideas;

Just an outer skin for light weight, pin on.

Inner & outer skin bonded together to look original and keep stock mounting points and hinges.

Adding either a cowl induction type scoop, look like 60's SS scoops.

Or maybe a scoop like the sti

Any thoughts or ideas?

I think there would be a few interested, Ive seen posts asking for one.
Personally, (if I had the money) I would go for a hood scoop similar to batmans, but maybe a single inlet. Stock hinge mountings definitely a plus, but with fibreglass maybe these would be a better option than the factory latch:

We might be interested ! We also have read other threads of members giving imput! If memory serves me correctly more liked the cowl induction style over the sti version! We like the idea of a cowl induction style! The only issue we see is pleasing the limited fews taste that are interested! It also seems like alot of effort and cost for a limited market! We say go for it!!!!!

I don't know but the intake could be on one side might make the design easier This fellow is a member maybe former He did pm me back about it its steel he made it.after a deer took out his original

He said:I hit a deer and tore up my original hood. I ordered a new hood from GM and bought a steel cowl scoop from airbagit.com. I welded the scoop on and made it functional.

looking at it the rear of the scoop looks as though it points a little to the left? Could be an optical erusion .....

Peace.....
