What Ron is talking about is a fast acting epoxy which is great for this kind of job. 5min work time with a set time in about 1 hour. Has polymercaptan in it. The same stuff they put in natural gas so you can smell that your house is full of it so you can leave before it blows. There are also several one part adhesives that will work well with your project like a superglue.
