It's been asked before a few years ago, however, I'm not typing Every Word Like This. Somebody told me that they've seen a lowered HHR with wide tires and fender flares. I want to know where I can get my hands on some or suggestions on how to make a set fit our wheel wells.

 

I did a search and a Google lookie lu just found universal stuff from JC Whitney and the like

 

If I wanted to build custom flares I would take a lesson from our resident body sculpture expert, Benjiwah. I would take a can or two of Great Stuff, spray an area larger than the proposed flare, wait for it to cure and take a series of power sanders to shape it. Once you are satisfied with the shape , fiberglass in starting a couple inches into the steel body. After that sets, cut the stock fender away from under the glass and foam. Blend it in and finish.
