I am debating on a different grill for my Panel. I want the SS style front grill but I have heard that it may be hard to put on a LT without getting the SS Bumper. The picture below is an option. I took black duct tape to black out the second and fouth grill bar to get the effect. Does anyone know if there is one fabricated & available this way or how to fabricate an existing one?

 

Your version is what we would call a "Poor Mans 3 Bar Grill", haha....! In the right hand corner click search and type in 3 Bar Grill .....

Thanks for the Link and the info. Luckily I have a friend who is a paint and body person that will help me if I go this route.

 

mspag, do yourself a favor bud, and get a matte finish grille if you are going to cut and modify it and paint it. I am sure someone here would be willing to buy that chromer if you remove that duct tape and and ship it to them.

Except the search function doesn't except "3" nor "Bar", as they are to short a term (has to be over 3 letters) so all that would get is "Grill"........ Of course "grill" might get you there anyways.


Ditto on the chrome grill..... if it's clean don't cut it up. You will have to strip all the chrome to paint it anyways..... (pain in the azz) and trying to cut one up and keep the chrome usually doesn't work out that well. May as well get the "flat silver" version to mod and sell the chrome one.

Thanks for the info. The duct tape was only to get the idea across and take the picture. I know it would be a bear to get off if I left it on. :)
