Gun metal fog lights

After having searched the forums AND google to no avail, I wanted to know has any one thought of doing this or done this? Im thinking of doing it to the fog lights to bring down the white/chrome glare more. Yes I know it would probably make the fog lights unusuable to drive with, but gun metal done right can have a mirror finish, just darker.

Thoughts?

You would have to take them apart and reassemble so they don't leak but the reflector could be spray tinted....... They would be darker as far as usage goes though so I'm not seeing the point. Why not sell'em and put grills in there. There's a bunch of guys with LS and 1LT that would love to have a set of stock fogs.

Sounds neat but you would lose the use of them.

@Greybeard, I was thinking since I am getting depo's of a way to darken those up too. And I do understand that I would have to disassemble them do that and re-seal. I also have a love for gun metal.

II understand it would be like tinting them, but at a G2G sitting there with those on and my underbody lights would like decent, I think.

Just tint them on the outside, same effect, worthless for fogs but if that's what turns you on.

i might tint mine as well, i already have depo's and 55w HID's, and i just got my OEM fogs in, as well as 55w HID's in those. i might throw a light tint on them, just to give it a smoked look.

window tint cut to size, they make it in a "cling " material as well if you are afraid of tearing.
