HID headlight conversion

I think I saw a post on here about installing HID headlights on a HHR-SS.
Can't seem to find it.
Has anyone installed HID's on thier HHR, and how is the easiest way to do it?
Thinking about getting the HID conversion kit from CarID, for my SS.

JLM HID Conversion Kit H13 (9008) 6000K Hi/Lo Dual Xenon (Diamond White)

The $60 kit on amazon.com is for bare HID bulbs and ballasts. Putting this in your halogen-based headlight assemblies is dangerous because it will blind oncoming drivers. You are also likely to be stopped by law enforcement and ticketed. Please search for the other threads on HID conversion. While never street legal for the HHR, it can be done correctly if you spend enough. I strongly suggest you either do it right or not at all!

wouldn't consider them without the tint it shuts down the light a lot might have to be a trial and error investment I love the tint just want the visibility the stock lights had a projector with halos would be nice haven't found one.Trying to save a few dollars for those mirrors like yours but when it snowed I parked the short bus took the Exploder might have to wait till after the swaybar

Ive done them in both my headlights and fog lights. Theyre bright as all hell but i have my headlights tinted so its all good in my case. The easiest way to do so is to pull the bumper because you need a good spot to mount the ballasts. Mine are on the sides of the crashbar tucked away real nice. I went through v v m e . c o m

I have DDM HIDs in my headlights and fog lights. Have had them in both stock headlights, stock headlights with tint, and DEPO lights (no tint). No tickets, no on coming traffic flashing, no problems. Don't mind the HID snobs. Do it, and enjoy the light.

Well, I've been running mine for about a year, and I've not even had anyone flash me, let alone a ticket. Way brighter, and about $50. There's lots of places to tuck away the ballasts.

I've got a set from xtremehid.com, not bein a downer on them over-all but the set of green mechanicals I got didnt want to stay in there collar, the result is that in a couple of months when I get back to work I'm investing in new buckets, because they popped out while my dad had the car and didn't realize it and now both buckets are burnt and the right has a cool smoked effect
