I bought a hood scoop!

so I bought a hood scoop on ebay that I finally liked size wise(15X11):http://www.ebay.com/itm/Paintable-JD...cc8e68&vxp=mtr with plans to paint it IBM blue and make it functional. I'm nervous about drilling holes in my hood, but i should be able to get over it. I've just got a few questions. What have you done with the stock intake(assuming you removed the lid)? spacers to avoid rain? and any recommendations on how to drill the holes? I assume you wouldnt want to cut through the frame of the hood...thanks for any help!

Sorry, not feeling that at all. If you're seeking more power ditch the Superchips tune for starters and go HPT.

$10 for a hood scoop. Good luck buddy! I just ordered a scoop for my close friends mustang and we paid $179. I would be very leary of a $10 scoop personally. Be sure to post pics an let us know the quality...I want to be proved wrong on this one.

I have a sneaking feeling that someone will post up photos of another hood scoop very soon for comparison.

Ive been looking at them for a couple weeks...the good ones were all pretty expensive....for $10 I'll take the loss if its crap. It looks like a decent design so I will update when i arrives

Then why not skip the drilling of holes? The scoop will look scoopy and your car will do what it always does just fine without any of the grief of hole cutting.
