I need to lift the car.

Hello

I need to lift the car about 3 cm (~1,2inch) what do you suggest ? My mecanic told me to buy rubber macperson pads, the problem is the OEM part is 0,5 cm high.

Maybe other cheap suggestions ?

I do not recommend lifting the HHR as it changes the centre of gravity which can cause handling issues, it can be unsafe at highway speeds

i have 3 children and drive throght highways maybe once a year at speed 120-130 km/h so thats not the point. I need to lift it cause my 18 whels wont fit on side of the macperson spring

What size tires are you running? I had 245/40R18's and fitment was no problem. You can't go over a 26.3" tire from what I remember.

18 and as far as for now, i have 5 mm from the mcperson spring so its not so safe, lower ET at 32 (?)

Need to know what size tire you have on those 18's. Only way to get around that strut plate is to switch to coilover's I believe. If your tire is touching the strut plate, your tires are too tall.

245/45 18 et 35

Yeah, that's too tall, 26.68". You need 225/45r18(25.97"). 235/45r18(26.33) would be really close, hard to say if it would work.

If I recall, lifting the vehicle will not help.

Well, we cannot recommend something unsafe. Maybe find someone in your area that has the right size tires and is willing to trade?
