Installed chrome wheelcovers

Replacement wheels are not in the cards this year so I went with the chrome wheelcovers instead. Before and after shots

Looks really good. Where did you find the wheels covers at?

FWIW,

I know that many here frown on wheel covers but they have an advantage as well.
If I accidentaly curb one and damage it I can just replace it for a Pitance compared to damaging a Chrome Wheel.
I bought 6 wheel covers, not 4 to cover my As-s if I have any damage going forward.

My wife likes to hit curbs. 6 sets of covers in 10 years on the Camery. I should order a spare for the HHR now that you mention it..

I'm really liking the way those look and seeing as how I have the identical hhr, I might as well order a set. I think they will compliment the canucks I'm about to put on. Thanks for the link and pics.

I really like those. Instead of repainting mine I might have to get a set. Chrome for the summer, painted for the winter.

Looks like they were a stock item from the factory-real nice. Was always afraid to put aftermarkets on because of possible wheel flex popping them off... Are they press fit or threaded wheel nut caps? And then of course-how much?

I have used them on 2 different HHR's

I only buy the ones that bolt on with plastic bolts.
I also order a few extras in case of damage from curbing etc.

*** Do Not Pressure wash the center emblem area on the wheel covers if the ones you order have them.
It is a stick on and will be damaged.

If you buy the little higher priced ones they come with a foam gasket that goes all around the cover near the edge and cushions the install and also stops any annoying noises.

Look on E Bay under HHR Chrome Wheel Covers. The good ones are approx $82.50 per set shipped.

TonyGreen is the seller.

Make sure you order the right cover for your wheels.
2 styles for 16" wheels.
5 spoke and standard wheel with upteen holes.

I drove the HHR this morning. I did notice a differance in the road noise , I did not think those stock wheelcovers made that much noise overall. That foam gasket around the new ones make a differance.
