LED high-mount brake lights

My LED lights from seller in Canada on eBay, maple125, are starting to fail again. She proclaims that they have a 'lifetime warranty" but to claim it you have to remove the lights and send them back to Canada! Does anyone have a source for LED high-mount brake lights that actually stay working? The LEDs on my IPCW brake/backup lights work perfectly. Why can't my high mount LEDs work as well as this?

I bought 4 bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs for the third brake light, and they've been working ever since I got them. Been a while... I thought LEDs were supposed to last virtually forever...

WIth LED's you get what you pay for. THose cheap ones from EBay and just that, cheap.

All of mine, except for my tag lights and tails, came from superbrights.

Did you wire them yourself, or are they already socketed? If so, why not just make your own? Get some protoboard and a soldering iron and go to town. This way, you can control the quality of the components and make EXACTLY what you want.

I plan to make a perfectly fit panel of 1W LEDs with a current driver to make the most noticeable 3rd lamp possible lol. I could go 3W... but heat becomes an issue.

Also, I wanted to use a 2 stage driver so that when I initially press my brake, all illuminate at full power (very very bright) and after a second, they kick down some current so the person behind me isn't blinded and annoyed. I'm paranoid of being rear-ended lol.

I have an idea for 10W CREE LEDs as backup lamps and custom LED top and bottom lamps. We'll see where I end up. haha

No, I don't think so. These are what I have:

Just make sure you get them Red, not Clear. That's what works the best with LEDs. And you need 4 of them.

Installed!

Girlfriend and I just installed four red LED lights from superbrightleds.com They are much brighter and put out a much wider light than the Canadian eBay LEDs. They were not much more expensive either, since superbrightleds.com charges less for the red ones than other colors.
