Musical Horn install?
#11
That is EXACTLY the same horn I bought, the 34 preprogrammed WOLO horn! , I can't wait to get it, I can't hear the sample sounds because my AOL media player is messed up for some reason. ..oh well...but that is the one!

Well, I can only tell you what I did. For the control module, I dremeled out a small hole in the center covered cubby and dropped a power and ground wire down to the fuse box tapping into a switched cable and a bolt for ground that is left of the fuse panel. I then used split loom on the wires so the keypad can be pulled out of the cubby and used from the seated position. I then extended the speaker wire that came from the horn itself, and routed that through the rubber grommet in the firewall on drivers side using a coat-hanger. There is another thread on how to get that wire through from another member. The horn itself I was able to mount above the radiator on the drivers side to an existing bolt-hole, but it can also be mounted lower in the facia, or any other open spot under the hood. I can get some pictures this evening if you want.
This is for Mitzkity's car.

you can, but you will need to cable it from both the physical horn, and the power and ground. to do it where you are wanting to you may need to get into the headliner to route cables under them to the a-pillars then down behind the dash.

And check local ordinances concerning noise/musical horns, could save even more headaches...

Thank you Katz and Black Beauty, I think I will take Wheelie to a professional installer to have his new horn installed on him, I only have a high school education, I failed Algebra and Geometry, so If I try to install this myself, I may up blowing my beloved car up..LOL!!!

This is how I did mine. I had 2 airhorns (and a siren) that I originally mounted inside the engine compartment to the plastic cover over the computer. I later moved it in front of the radiator using metal brackets attached to the existing bolts. I just found the right thread size and added a nut on top (there was enough of the threads available). I think this is the best location, since it is not very noticable and in the best position for a loud sound outside.
The compressor and relay use power from the post alongside the fuse box. I only had to run one trigger wire inside to a switch I added, then I ran another wire to a ground bolt (next to the interior fuse box).
