Finally got around to "Home Despot" and got a piece of this grill material last Thursday. Darn near $2 a piece these days, cost of the nuts and washers has doubled as well but still cheap insurance.

Got it cut and tweaked last evening before it got dark, primed and painted it purple last night. Mounted it up this morn....... Paint chipped in a spot, I'll just see what it looks like after a few weeks and see if I have to re-do it. Looks good otherwise!

Greybeard-

Inflation sux... Yours sounds cool..

I did mine in gloss black powdercoat. Still holding up very well..

Even tho for '08 & newer GM added some lil plastic thingie cover over the condenser & lower rad., I still feel better with the GG grille, too....

My lower grill.....

Yeah, caught my reflection layin' on the ground.

Color is kinds "bleached" out but it's the photo, same base purple color I'm using elsewhere.

Looks good, your using a lighter Purple than the stuff we used on our brakes?

With a Pearl topcat ?

Yes and no....... Yes, I'm changing the purple to this lighter color. But the pearl is only on the bowties. The lower grill, sway bar and other parts (some under hood, maybe some interior, yet to be done) will just be this base coat.... including the brakes, I'll probably wait till spring to re-do the brakes. The darker "anodized" look is nice, but this stands out more because it's brighter. It's also a color I would do pinstripes in if I can find a guy to do that local.
