HI folks - This is my first post on here but I must say that this site has been a tremendous help to me now that I am an official HHR fan. I bought a 09 Panel 2LT. I have done some mods to it (wheels/tires, added a spoiler) and "black chromed" the stock grill. I'm still not happy with the grill and have decided to get the SS grill and make the necessary bumper changes to make it fit. ( another mod that was discovered on this site) My question: Exactly what is the grill bezel?? Is this the painted trim that goes over the grill? That's what I am thinking and I just wanted to confirm this from the deep knowledge bank on the HHR network.
Any help would be appreciated! I would post picts but I am not exactly sure how to go about it

There are really on 2 parts of the grill, the grill itself (with bowtie) and the bracket on the backside.

Who is telling you about a bezel?

 

SS Fan - thanks for the link. I will get picts on here asap. I have some "before" and "after" so I will see if I can get a few of both on here.
soloman98 - I am referring to the SS grill. I am considering buying one from an online o.e.m. site. The parts it says I need are the complete grill assembly and the bezel. From the crappy exploded parts diagram at their site, it appears that the bezel is the trim that goes around the SS grill, and across the center to the bowtie. But I wanted to find out what the heck a bezel is before i ordered it.

 

Doesn't matter if the grill is for an SS or not, they all bolt on the same way. From what your describing, that is just the grill. I don't believe the mesh is seperate on the SS grill. Few here have put them on regular HHR's with various methods (notched bumper cover, various cutting of the grill).

Just never heard of what you described as called a "bezel". Just the painted part of the SS grill. Will be curious to see your pics.

 

Picts are up. Simply titles "My 2009 Panel LT". No before picts but 3 after I put on the wheels, depos, spoiler and painted the grill. In the gallery.
I'm going to call this web company tomarrow (Fast GM Parts.com) and make sure I am getting what i think I'm getting. The exploded view does not show the mesh in the grill but, as far as I know, it is all one piece. A far as the bezel goes, I will ask someone there to bezel edukate me. If this link works, it will show the exploded view.

Well, you are right, what they call the "grill" is the entire kit that has all the hardware and braces. They are calling the grill shell itself a "bezel". Since I know a few here have cut up an SS grill, pretty sure the mesh is all one piece with the "bezel".....
