need help - stock spoiler

Hey everybody - I need help.

I ordered the stock spoiler for my 2011. There are no HHR's that I've seen locally that have a spoiler.

There is no template available from Chevy to the exact mount location. Since the spoiler has studs on the back of it, you just can't hold it on the rear deck to figure out exactly where it goes.

My local body shop wants some more info before they drill the holes.

So - can some folks please either upload photos & measurements of gap between glass and bottom of spoiler and distance from top of deck and spoiler - or send them directly to my email account??

TIA

spoiler

Thanks.

Unfortunately, that is the SS spoiler. I'm referring to the standard - ski ramp spoiler.

But that is very detailed.

Just an fyi. As far as I know that thread is for the hoop spoiler. You may want to look again.

I think he has the two mixed up. He has the SS type that was out befor the SS came out. I think it was on the spring or fall that they put it on first.

right - it is for the hoop. I don't have the hoop. It is the solid.

Not sure if this will help. It's a view of the stud/nut location on a SS spoiler.

The two types of spoilers

The pictures he sent you is for the standard spoiler. Once installed the wind blows through it. The SS spoiler fits tight against the body. There is no opening so the wind cannot blow through it. My guess is that you have the standard hoop type where the wind can blow through the opening.

I have both types on my two cars.

This may help, it's a bit long winded, but may get you started in the right direction. Hope it helps.
