Painting bowties

Painting bowties

I want to take them off and paint them. Are they just double sided taped on or is there a trick to removing them....OR should i just paint them on the car and tape off area

There is multiple ways to do it...I preferred to tape off my car with thick paper and spray them. There is double sided tape that holds them on, but it is pretty strong. I just kept them on to not have to mess with the factory tape..

others may differ, but its easy to do...

fishing line is the old school way to get it off....

I agree with badassbowtie. However if you do decide to take them off reinstall using 3M doublesided emblem tape. You can get it at any autobody paint store.

I did mine with vinyl for the sign store, the hardest part was cutting them to fit. been on for 3 years and still look great.
