Reflectors To Lights

I was wondering if anyone has seen this or if they know of a company that sells lights that will replace the reflectors in the back bumper. I saw an HHR with lights in there one night and it really looked cool. I tried following them and asking them about it but they lost me. (Guess they thought I was a stalker)

Sorry buz, I don't have an answer for you but I gotta ask... Were you stalking them in the HHR or the motorhome?

By the way, to the family

Thumbs up

I would like a set of clear reflectors to replace the factory red reflectors. Someone should see these!

Question: These reflectors aren't required by any law, are they? Personally, I wish they were gone...

You are supposed to have a reflector front and rear. Would it be an issue if you removed them? Probably not in most cases. But there have been cases with some taillight swaps that folks did get tickets due to no reflector. But most of those were totally white lenses that only used red bulbs for the brakes and such. They kinda stand out more.

I KNOW HERE IN CALIFORNIA THEY ARE REQUIRED BY LAW. IT MAY FALL UNDER FEDERAL MANDATE ALSO.

I have previously read in a few posts here that tying "extra" items into the electrical can be tricky, but that said, if that is not an issue, why not just take one out, drill it from the back side and glue (or otherwise removably affix) a couple of LED's wired to the brake lights? Two or three spaced right I think would look cool. Of course, my projects have not always matched well the vision in my head, so who knows.

That's probably the best idea... I think there are laws that say there has to be reflectors. With drilling out and using LEDs you still have the required reflectors.

Sounds like a good plan, except the hook-up to the brake lights.
If you want a continuous light, go to the tail or license plate light.
