Rendering rear body mods SS

Hey guys,
Please take a look at a rendering I made of what I am thinking of doing to my SS. It consists of the following:
1-Smooth hatch
2-Relocate license plate to the bumper
3-Quad center mount exhaust
4-Removing upper tail lights.
5-Removing wiper (already done on my car)
6-Making rear glass open independent of hatch

Let me know REALLY what you think. Even if you don't like it. I won't be offended.

Thanks in advance for your opinions

Looks nice.

Not really sure how you could accomplish the center exhaust though. No room to run the pipe straight back from there. Only way I could see to do that would be a sharp bend at the quad tips. But then the bend would be obvious when looking at it from behind the car.

Good point. I may have to do 2 dual pipes more outboard.

Looks cool! The curve of the rear glass may cause issues with the hinge setup, but you'll work it out!

All sounds cool! I really like the idea for the rear glass. The problem I see, like oldblue mentioned, is getting that curved glass to open high enough(at least close to 180*, straight up). I'm not sure if struts would even allow for this.

If you can't get it to open enough, you won't be able to get close enough to the car to reach inside. You have no rear spoiler in your drawing, so that helps. Might be able to roll the glass down into the hatch, like the side doors? Both options seem like a ton of work, you do need to seal out the weather.

Good luck, interested to see how you do on all this!

Maybe adapt this kind of setup! There are kits out there! Or an 08 Ford pickup!

Here is my 2cents;
1. I like the smooth hatch look a lot. However, a ton of work.
2. Also like the moving of the license plate.
3. Moving the exhaust to the center would take some super tight bends and/or modification to the spare tire/battery well.
4. I like the removal of the upper tail lights.
5. Removing the rear wiper is a no brainier.....you should also remove the rear window washer nozzle.
6. I'm not liking the opening rear window at all. Lots of work for something I feel is not needed, overly complex and will look goofy when it is open.

You should cruise over to Pteazers on Grand Ave in Santa Ana. Go see Ray. He could fix you up with a rear bumper like you have in your drawing.

All in all, I think you have a winner here.

The sliding window I definitely something I will check out. I may abandon the center quad tip idea. I know where Pteazers is, I eat lunch at the Cowgirl's restaurant every so often which is next to them. Thanks! I will go see Ray.

Assuming there is room inside the hatch door for all the mechanism of a sliding window, now a bunch more weight will be added to the hatch, you would need stronger struts also.
