Running Boards

I have found a good price for running boards 19169603. I understand that these are the older style and that 19166277 is newer. My question is, are there any reasons not to go with the 19169603 boards if the are a good price? I hope someone knows something about these part numbers and can help.

I see both of them. $199 and $325. Both in prime.
The pictures sure don't help to show difference in the 2. To be safe, I would contact their customer service. One thing, make sure it comes with the mounting hardware and the plastic step pad . On gmpartsdirect, it shows the running board and step pad as seperate items.

If memory serves me correct, they had a seperate part number for the factory installed ones verses the dealer installed ones. Only differance was the step pad in some form/fashion. Some had issues with the step pad on the dealer installed ones coming loose.

I contacted the website and asked them for more information about the HHR running boards 19169603 and they told me that everything needed to install them on the car is in the package. I went ahead and ordered them and they have already been shipped. Total cost including shipping $213.10. I'll post more when the package shows up and I see what I've got.

My running boards just arrived, not bad considering I ordered them only a few days ago. They came just as they were packaged from GM, with all parts and instructions. For some reason I thought the primer color would be gray but these are totally black. Does anyone know if black is the primer color? These look like the could go right on my black car now.
