Cover has to come off to clean and paint. Also a new gasket kit is needed. When the cover is put back on make sure that it is torqued down properly, starting inside and working toward the outside.
any better shots of that custom CAI? Might I ask how you made it? I've seen a "universal" sensor adaptor that looks like it'd do the trick, but hesitant to try it.
Looks great! I love the grill too! What did you use for the grill, and how is it holding up?
Duplicolor trim paint(wanted it to be flat instead of glossy) Prepping the area to be painted is the key.I removed grill from the car .Masked off and lightly scuffed the area I was painting, then using Duplicolor adhesion promoter to help the paint stick. Then clearing with a satin clear. I have had to redo it after getting sandblasted by a big rig that cut in front of me on the interstate but otherwise it's held up pretty good for 4yrs

I cut the MAF tube off the stock box( make sure there is enough on the cut side to clamp to) Spectre makes a universal one with several inserts to get the correct flow, too big and it will throw a code. That's why I used the stock tube.I used a spectre flex pipe and a elbow I found at the junkyard to connect to the filter that I located in the fender behind the headlight. You will have make some cuts on some of the plastic inner fender panels. Then I drilled some holes in foglight insert to let more air in.I plan on getting rid of the spectre flex tube and doing it in alum. tubing in the future. The only drawback to this system is you have to remove the wheel and pull back the inner fender to change or clean the filter, but the upside is it is drawing cool air from outside.Sorry I don't have pics of the filter location,I did this after work one night and was in a hurry to get it done so I wouldn't be up so late Thanks to Joe R. for the original idea
