2010 hhr swiching to center console window controls?

Is the harness the same? I'm going to extend my door switches to the center console, and I'd like to use the OEM center console setup if I can. Reason for the swap is my speakers are so big in my doors I need to eliminate the window switch panel LOL. If the wiring is different, I can just make a custom panel with my current switches.

Hopefully someone here knows the answer. thanks!

The wiring harness was changed extensively for the 2009 mid-cycle refresh. There are posts here about moving the window controls to the doors on pre-2009 models, which if successful you may be able to reverse.

However, very few people like having these switches in the console. That's the main reason why I wanted a 09+... I've had rentals and service loaners like that, and I hated it.

If I were you, I'd rethink your speaker arrangement.

My 08 SS switches are on the doors? maybe it was a SS only thing?

Im sure its not impossible, but you would need to fill the holes on the doors then...

Its not really a daily driver much so the center switches won't bother me.

The transition to switches on the doors started with the '08 SS. That's why we have that funky rubber thingy in the middle where the switches were prior. They didn't have time to think of what to put there!

That stupid rubber thing is supposed to be an ashtray, but it's useless for that. I wish that cubby had a flip-up lid.
