2008 HHR 2LT Center Console Window Switches

Alright so I pretty much can't stand my center console window switches anymore . I was wondering if there was anyway that I can get rid of the center window switches and move them to the arm panel instead?

Its not impossible, but its not going to be easy as people have found out. Give this thread a read and if you're still game to try, send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll shoot you the appropriate wiring diagrams as PDF files.

if I can share what i done to my 86 mercury capri. Back in the day, I was obsessed not only with the SQ side of the car (showed it in the old IASCA and CMAA show circuits) I eliminated anything that "poked out". The door panels were stripped of switches, door handle, and wrapped in an OE dodge tweed type material. I had installed window modules that controlled the windows via alarm remote. One perk from using the module (old DEI pn# 530t) is it took over the current duties of the switches and added one touch up and down on both windows. I used some VW type switched from the after market power window kits, and tucked them behind the tweed in the console (phantom switches).

If you want to move your switches, maybe research that module (you'll need 1 per pair of windows) and grab some aftermarket generic switched. An idea that popped in my head was putting them between the visors in the headliner. the modules will allow for small wiring and ease of running them up the pillars.

search DEI 530T for details
