At least yours is accessible, Skyline26’s was just below flush , so you should be able to get a grip with Channelocks or Vise Grips , I will suggest you put a bunched up towel towards the glas in case you slip!

Got a pair of snap ring pliers ?
Drill 2 holes in the top of the broken knob. Each side of the metal stem. Insert the pliers and unscrew the broken knob. |

Oh ok thanks. The knob just unscrews? Then I can buy a new knob and screw it back on?

Strangely enough, I just had a customer come into my body shop w/ the same issue. Just unscrews easy. Problem was that the gray color was discontinued. I think the black ones are still available though. The customer just wanted us to get the old one off for them and they went to O'Reillys and bought a pair of generic lock knobs for an old car door and screwed them on.

Is that not what he said?
It's pretty simple, just take what is left of yours off, and head into an O'Rilleys or whatever and grab what looks like it will work for you. Ok, this has been discussed to death. Closing this thread. |
