Chrome moulding around shift knob

So,
I want to paint this as the glare reflection from it screws with my eyes pretty bad. It sucks having light sensitive eyes and pretty the glare gets around any type of sunglasses I wear.

Or if anyone knows about a place that has aftermarkets of these for sale, and comes in a different color, that will also work.

I've not seen any aftermarket shifter trim, but you could easily scuff sand your part and paint it semi-gloss black/gray/tan to blend with your console.

I was thinking of going with a matte black, just to eliminate all possibility of glare from it.
