I have searched everywhere that I could on this forum and couldn't find the answer I need. I have a 2009 1LT that I love. Now the problem I have is a rattle in the front cup holder. This is the one that is ahead of the shifter where the window switches used to be in the older models. I can easily remove the rubber insert but it's the silver part that is rattling and I can't get it out of there so I could wrap it with some foam to stop the rattle. There are slots on each side that I thought would be the key but I've inserted small screw drivers in them to no avail. I also tried lifting it in the slots but it doesn't want to budge. It's loose, rattles but it won't come out. There's got to be some kind of clip there somewhere. HELP and thanks in advance!!!

 

If its like an 08 - that bezel around the switches is held with 'A' shaped clips. I pried mine up gently to locate the clips and then a good sharp tug. In my car that last top cap that surrounds the shifter was the cause. Foam tape really helped and I plan to do the entire freakin car with this stuff. 26000 miles - I could barely drive it the noises were so prominent. Much better now. Go for it dude.
