Dash kits

My Silver Lt seems so plain inside with the ebony dash. I have been looking at all the different dash kits out there and I am blown away... From 15-60pc all kinds of finishes... I think I have narrowed it down to Silver carbon fiber or Brushed Aluminum...
Any suggestions on which manufacturer is better than another....

This thread is a little old, but still relevant. I used a kit from edashkit.com, its a 56 pc. Titanium Burl Wood one. Photos of mine are on the 2nd last page of the thread. It looks great with the all gray interior. They have samples available, 2 for $5, and they refund the $5 upon purchase of a kit. If you can, get some extra promoter because they barely give you enough. Make sure to use promoter on every square centimeter. Do it on a warm day. Take your time, "prefit" each piece and make sure your comfortable as to how its supposed to mount.

That's an awesome dash kit you have there Doc! If I had a 2LT, this would definitely be on my 'to-do' list.

out of all the threads and persons post that did back then, how many still look the same the day they did it? Did sitting in the sun effect the appearance or the 3m tape on the back? does it stay put forever? Just wandering I see it done new but never years down the road. That is what I am curious about, bang for the buck. Is it really worth it or not.

The dash kit I put in my last truck, after 10 years, still looked as new as when I first installed it..

One idea to consider (as an alternative to a dash kit) is getting your waterfall painted, and adding a Chevy script in the vast wasteland above the glovebox (there's many of them to choose from, from many different eras...just look on e-bay). You'd be surprised how just two changes can make a world of difference.

I shamelessly copied HHRSSouth's paint scheme 'cause it was just too perfect (a link to his thread is provided below), but it gives you an idea of how you can customize your waterfall if so inclined. I had a body shop do this for me, because I don't have HHRSSouth's skills:
