Fr0nt seat headrest

Does anyone know how to remove the front seat head rest. I wan't to make leather seat covers for my 2011 HHR but have not been able to remove the head rest. I konw the owners manual says it does not come off . Your know how will be welcomed.. Thank you. Bennie

They do come out, you need to raise them as high as you can, there is a push in button next to the bar slot, push it in and lift them out. Hope this helps Bennie.
