Hammock...

Does anyone have photos of the HHR with the roof liner taken off? Or the covers next to the windshield removed?

I have talked to a couple car people and they think it will work, I believe there is just enough room also...
I want to hang a hammock (not permanently) inside the HHR. from Front passenger side to rear drivers side. I found mounts meant for inside a house for hammocks and plan on bolting it in. The mounts would be exposed at all times, which I dont mind.
I'm sure it will take some getting used to, getting in and out of.

Any thoughts?

I love the idea. If you google how to install the front tweeters in our cars, you will get plenty of pics of the bare front pillar. I know as I'm about to replace my speakers, all but the passenger door don't work. I'm not so sure about finding pics of the bare roof

Bolts would likely tear the metal, drilling holes would compromise structural integrity.

Welding reinforcements would be required, I think that would cost more that you want to spend.
