I drilled a hole in the side of the storage compartment to run the wiring to the head unit. The factory liner pad that came inside the cubbie, I traced and cut out a section for a standard ipod dock. Added a wider base to the dock, layed the cut out liner pad over the dock, plugged it in and thats all. It doesnt slide around, stays put, and can be switched out with other docks, aka you update a phone or ipod.... One day in the future I plan on mounting a tablet there. Nice and clean, showing no wires. just the way I like it! I will take some more in depth photos and post them... It was really easy, took no time at all.
