Wondering if anyone has ever removed the upper dash piece to wrap it in leather?

I do custom leather work but have never attempted something that large.

 

Seems it's been done, it was years ago so I don't remember who it was.

I do remember people here pointing out that the passenger air bag probably wouldn't work properly anymore... That's not because he just covered over the airbag cover but because the weight and fit of the cover would be outside of factory specs. No way to test that.

Endangering someones life with a cosmetic modification is hardly a good idea.

 

It would be cool, but that airbag thing could be a problem
