Love car, dislike door panels

Recently purchased a 2011 LT2. Super clean, 22k, and great vehicle. I moving from a 2002 PT Cruiser Limited Woody with leather interior. I really like just about everything on the HHR, but you have to admit the door panels are quite cheezy looking, especially compared to the rather high end look of my PT's interior. Has anyone found a way to dress them up. Could parts be covered with some type of naughahide? Anything? Open to ideas.
If you have pics that would be great.

It's hard to tell, but the armrest area around the door pull cup is covered in a softer material, but the parts are then plastic welded together. I think with time and patience it could be redone.

Welcome to the site I did not find any pic of door panels but almost any trim shop can cover them in leather if you like.

I was thinking the same about leather, and I do happen to know a really good trim guy that has done wonders on some of my other cars. I think I'll pay him a visit.

Lucky,
Does that SS trim panel, as well as mine, disengage from the rest of the panel? Easy to get off?? If it is the same, I could easily picture these wrapped in something to give it a little richer look.

OK, but it looks like a warmer weather task. It's still below freezing and it looks like we have a few more weeks of this real cold stuff here is upstate NY.
Thanks again for the tip.

As I said, plastic welded in so not easy, but it is possible with some effort.
