I swapped out my ebony cloth seats for the leather seats. My HHR is a 2008 2LT Panel.

On mine the harness plugs were already in place under the seats.

You will also need to swap out the climate controls that have the 2 heated seat switches and on mine those plugs were there so just plug em in.

Then you must go to the Dealer and have them turn them ON in the cars computer BAC whatever it is. Won't work until you have the dealer do his thing.

I got my leather and the dash controls on ebay. Saved the shipping costs for the seats by driving out and picking them up myself.:thumb:

Look up LKQ, they sell alot of parts and if the seats don't sell, they lower the price and relist em. I waited out 3 long auction listings (29 days each) and got a good deal on them by picking them up myself.

I have manual cloth seats in my 2010 LS. I'd like to swap them out to the power, heated seats.. Is this going to be a huge ordeal?

I'm doing this on my 07 LS. On my car the wiring is not there so I have to install the wiring for the heated seats.
You will have to look under your seats to see if the wiring is there.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of what the wiring looks like would you? I'm an extreme newbie at car mods so I need all the help I can get

This is the drivers connector of an hhr with heated seats.

The the connector and the five wires in the top or the connector you can see in this picture are needed for heated seats.

Red and white wire is battery pos.
Pink wire is key on pos.

Then pink, light blue and dark green go to the a/c controller.

Here is a picture of the front of the connector.

Bumping an old thread and this may sound weird, but how hard would it be to swap the power seat from my 1lt to a non-power seat? I'm looking for weight savings.

It's would very simple.

The drivers power seat has two connectors to it.

One two pin connector is for the seat belt and the other is a
bigger connector that has the power feed for the seat motors and heated seats.

To put manual seats in you would just leave the big connector unplugged. Every thing else would work just fine.

Thank you!! Now time to hit the junk yards for some manual seats.
