i'm thinking of swapping my LS for a panel and adding seats, but still have kids riding with me and I'm not sure how they would feel not being able to stick their tongues out at people through tinted glass
They will get bored, So I added 9" lcd headrest monitors with wireless headsets and they came with about 28 Old style video games with a pair of game controllers all built in.
No DVD player built in, but my Pioneer head unit has that so they can play the video games, or watch a Movie. I can listen to the radio, 1 can play games and 1 can watch a movie , or both do the same in back.

I also just for kicks added a matching 7" set for the back even tho only people Behind you can watch those.

Keeps anyone in the back seat occupied.

Older pic when I was first installing the Pioneer Head Unit and the 9" Headrest Monitors long before I did the black leather seats, sound deadening and the Black Suede Headliner. They Match the Black Leather Seats really well.

For as inexpensive as these are, the screens are Beautiful. I am really Pleased with them.
Search Ebay for them.

HHR LT2 Panel

I just bought my 2008 HHR panel LT2 and i really like it i had the storage compartments in the back but i had taking those out and just but a rear seat with the seat belts in for my son. He said it is fine not being able to look out the window because he can still see out the front but he dosen't always ride in the back.
and i am also getting pretty good gas mileage like 28.2MPG which i was really surprised about so so far this new (to me) Chevy HHR is a good car.

I put them on the outer part of the link, fixed rr door but not the left, going to take panel of and washer it inside and see where i'm going to put the arm rest for the back seat.

The easiest and cheapest way would be a leather ( vinyl) pull strap. Jeep CJ has a nice one. Once you get the panel off you can see where there is metal to work with. I had to fab a brace cause the middle of the panel is pretty flimsy. Not the best way but I'd already bought the arm rest 48-54 chevy pick-up...John
