Removing side defrost vents

I painted the radio bezel, the window switch bezel, stripped the chrome off the shifter bezel and painted that, painted the silver strips on the doors, and the plastic steering wheel pieces, and I sanded the texture off the gauge bezel piece and painted that. It is all done in basecoat/clearcoat Sport Red now to match the body and it looks great. Now, as I look at the dash, I have decided the side defrost vent pieces need to be painted to tie it all together. Has anyone removed these? I can figure it out, but figured I would see if someone could give me an idea before I start messing with them. Thanks!

Here is an illustration of the parts, #7 seems to be what you mean. It appears to pop out.

Got any pictures?

So far I painted the chrome shifter trim, the cubby hole trim (the one that holds the rubber thing) and 2 of the vent rings.
