Sunvisors wth "Extenders"

I have a Bright red Special Edition 06 with black & light gray cloth interior.

During my morning drive to work, the sun typically blinds me between the area on both sides of the rear view mirror, in that area between the two pulled down sunvisors.

Is anyone aware of sunvisors with those horizontal plastic pull-out "extender type things" that would be direct bolt-in replacements for the stock units ?

Thanks for the advice.

If you take the visor out of the securing clip and pull it sideways you'll find it moves on the rod or this purpose...hope this helps..otherwise scope out Auto Zone or Advance for a set of clip=ons.....

That's right, Woody - I didn't know about this feature for the first couple of months. Flat missed it in the owner's manual. Not as good as some of the "compound" sun visors out there, but certainly better than nothing (once you discover it)!

thats funny. i was going to post this very question yesterday upon discovering that the visors extend. weve had ginger for 4 months and i thought what a stupid thing that the visors only cover half the side windows.

Visor

I'm 5' 11' and I need an extender as well as pulling the visor back because I have the seat back as far as it will go or a little less. The 'stock' visor does not extend far enough.

I might buy one of these visor extenders!

http://search.mileskimball.com/stati...sor%20Extender Try one of these items. My short 5'1" mother, now gone, used the first type on every car she drove for 30 years.

Or go to the junkie and buy visors from an 03-05 Chevy Impala. I have an 03 Impala and my visors have extenders built in.

Yes, I only discovered that the visors move along the rod after driving my 2010 HHR for more than 18 months. I then checked the owner's manual---it says the visors move along the rod to cover different areas of the "front" window. Would have made more sense to write "side window."

BTW, I've had to have both of my sun visors replaced (under warranty) for no longer staying in the full 'up' position. It seems these visors don't mind being pulled down, but they can't take being pulled down and then pushed forward toward the windshield---it wears out the detent for keeping the visor up snugly against the headliner.

no problem SoCal, I am 6 3" tall and if i pull down the sunvisor i can not see the road anyway. My visors should be great for another 100 years.
