CT HHR Owners
Well I went to the dino park last tuesday. Got there about 7:30PM. Place was empty. Must have been the rain earlier?
Went to Mohegan on Wendsday. They cancelled it and didn't tell anyone.
A lot of people came to see the cars so I wasn't the only disappointed person there.
I guess I'll try Dino Park next week.

Went to Mohican on Wednesday. They cancelled it and didn't tell anyone.

We had some storms moving through last Tuesday, and I didn't make it either. The Dino show was a no -show? Weird. You would think some one would be there. I went to one last year there and it was a decent show..
I'll check on it tonight to see if it has been rescheduled 'till this week.
I tried too find the fabled car show at the Mohican Sun last year and gave up. It is supposed to be on top of one of the garages.
The only show I always find is the one later today at Ocean Beach, New London. Last Monday a lot of cars turned out. I pulled in next to a PT club and was welcomed just fine!
Maybe it's time to sell both the oldies ( I'm saying this because it is what my wife would like and she has joined this forum as a registered "lurker"!)
Anyway, the Ocean Beach show starts around 4PMish and goes 'till the sun goes down. A DJ and trophies every week. Board walk ( under construction ), food stand, beach, kiddie rides, etc.
Tonight I will likely put the '55 Chevy script on my front hood areas. Might as well do it at the show
Maybe you can make it some Monday?
Ray, I see you have the spoiler. All the early HHRs I saw in this area had them. The ones at the dealer's now never seem to have them. Ours does not have one, it was purchased used by my local dealer at auction and originaly registered in Detriot. Thanks for posting the photos. The HHR is sure in a class of its own
I also heard the Colchester show two weeks ago had over 350 cars in attendance!

It was the first time I saw the PT club at the event. I'll try and get there later today with the HHR. I still have not pulled out either Corvair Convertible
The HHR keeps me happy enough

I missed that one, but will definitely try to make the next one. When I find out the date of that show, I'll post it here.

What's funny is I almost didn't buy my HHR because it had the roof racks and spoiler. Now they've grown on me and I'm glad I have them.
I also have the lower billet grill for some protection.I don't want to spend money on damaged goods.
We made the Ocean Beach show last Monday. Not a bad showing at around 138 cars.
Here are a few shots of Chevy's that mattered:

A mechanic saw my HHR a couple of shows ago and got all excited about "chopping" cars. He really wants an HHR to chop. While waiting for this to happen, he got inspired to chop his truck, so he did!
He will bring his truck to a show in a couple of weeks.
On the HHR front I told him to seek a former fleet rental HHR as a likely candidate.
I met another couple who have an HHR and were excited to find us at the show. I gave them some tips on getting an anti sway bar, an intake and a new imco muffler. They also left with a link to this forum and may even be reading this post. If so,
Gotta print up some forum business cards.
