The date we're looking at is June 23rd (Saturday), ideally thinking we would meet up at the Niagara Factory Outlets and cruise down NF Blvd to the Falls. Any takers?

CH must have picked up some new recipes on "Cannibals Cooking in Canola" or "Dracula Does Desserts" on the after midnite food channels.

Actually, I was going to try bugging my wife for forms from the plant, but if you have a contact in Tri-Five, that's cool too.

We have added two possible items to our agenda and I wanted opinions of "locals".

Friday afternoon, 2hr cruise to see the Lockport Locks on the Erie Canal

Saturday night after our get-together, a Ghost Walk complete with lanterns in Niagara-by-the-Lake.

These 2 things sound so neat to me - what do you think?

Lastly, how do I find out if it's true that I can go across the Canada border still, without a passport.

Thanks, folks.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a passport until 2008 unless you're flying. I don't have a passport and I've never had a hard time going over other than the time I went with my buddy J who had a pending DWI at the time. They held us for a while, searched us, searched the car, searched our positions, and turned us right back around just to have it repeated on the American side.

Here you go:

Current Passport Regulations

The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States, according to the US Department of State. US citizens may currently travel to and from Mexico, Canada, Panama, the Caribbean and Bermuda using a US birth certificate with embossed state seal and driver's license, rather than a passport

Mitzkity- Both of your ideas are great. The canal cruise out of Lockport is interesting and Niagara-On-The-Lake is always great! Very quaint and as close to finding British charm as you'll find this side of the Atlantic.
