OCt PA g2g at carlisle who is comeing
The Fall Show at Carlisle is way too crowded.........You will not be able to park vehicles together........and it will be hard to find each other.......
I propose that we try to get a section and GTG at the GM Nationals Show 2009! We would have our own section to set up!
I didn't se any HHR's there at this years show.......However I went to the Chrysler show 2 weeks later and the PT's had a Section and there were a bunch!!

I work with a woman who lives right outside gate 2, she parks cars on her property, I asked her if a bunch of hhrs could park on her property and she said yes, she charges $10 a car, then we could all park near each other right at the gate
If we want to do that I will need a count so she can save the spots for us

just roll in as a pack lets meet up at the arbys or something up the street that morning and roll in together. or we can park in that ladys yard but that sorta defeats the purpose of going if our cars are there and were not that to talk about them lol idk anyone else have ideas.
Ther is no on grounds Parking: http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/ce/eve...lisle/gate.asp
I'll talk to her next week and get her address and post it for everyone, I'll see if we can park along the street so everyone can see our HHRs
although she may save them for people who want to sell their car??(higher priced spot)
I would like to have some idea as to how many spots we need to save for Saturday

I can tell you that Carlisle is having a Cruise In on Sunday Oct. 5...here's a write up...
First Annual Fall Carlisle Car Cruise-In
Open to ALL collector, classic, custom or performance vehicles
On Sunday October 5, during the Fall Swap Meet, Carlisle will host our first annual Cruise-In. We would like to invite all of you “Sunday Drivers” out there to enjoy a fun gathering of cars and friends at the Fairgrounds. You will find cars surrounding the stage and last minute deals in our huge Swap Meet and Car Corral. Shop and enjoy the good food while others admire your car and you compete for one of our Top 10 picks for Best: Chrysler, GM, Ford, Truck, Bike, Import or even Rat Rod. Registration is only $5 for a car/driver or $10 for a car/carload (2 or more guests). Gates open at 7:00 AM and all show vehicles should enter through Gate 3. Judging will take place between 11:00 AM and NOON, with awards being announced at the stage at 1:00 PM.
you might want to contact the event coordinator Rich Dallas (rich@carsatcarlisle.com) & see if he can set something up for a group for this event...I did get to talk to him very briefly at the truck show Friday aft...but I didn't get to ask him about this G2G idea...the ATN show next year might be another option...I saw about 10 HHRs there this year...1 in particular...a panel from NJ...it had a mural painted over the entire vehicle in a wild west setting...horses, Cowboys & Indians, wagon trains...the works...that paint job probably cost twice what the car did...just an idea...
