Regional Classifieds??
Can we start a sticky for a northeast regional classifieds? Shopping is alot easier when you can either physically see the part or take a day trip to go pick it up.

You know, that's not a half bad idea there.
Let me talk it over with our owners in next week's "Electronic Bi-Coastal" strategy meeting and if they're onboard with it, I think that we can do something. |
Till then we can do it the old fashioned way, post a pic, hire UPS, Fedex,or USPS, to drop it by the house.........:D
|
My opinion is , it's not really needed. When you read the classified ad, the sellers location is right there with his/her name 98% of the time. Easy to tell if they're in your region or not.
If you bust up the classifieds in a bunch of regional forums, will we have to search them all just to see what's being listed? I like just having the one section of classified ads. Just my 2 cents worth. |
Agree with firemangeorge, not needed. Besides......
If a "general" Classified Section is maintained, the Wanted or For Sale item reaches a much larger audience........for a much greater chance of sale. Also JMO. |
Typed before the coffee really started working, rethinking the idea.
Maybe just a redirect Stcky in the regional forums along the lines of "Click here for Classifieds in your region", or maybe not. Stay tuned. |
Does anybody actually browse/graze the regionals?
|
Just my region, it's how we communicate about g2g"s. Well before the facebook page we did anywho.
|
I look at the regionals every day, and we've got to revitalize them, with the exception of Sam's. They've got it together out there.
|
When I look in my region, I hear crickets..................:(
