These are some shots taken through the windshield of the HHR while going over Storm King Mountain on Route 218 between West Point and Cornwall Landing, NY. You can see the Hudson River to the right and the Storm King rise to the left. The shots are in chronological order starting at West Point to the south and ending up in Cornwall Landing to the north.

thats a great one when it's open. across bear mtn bridge and 9w over west point are great also-some of my local favs, good on the bike as well.

 

I lived at West Point,1958- 1963. I was 6-11 years old What a cool place to grow up . After school I would go straight to the motor pool's junk yard and play in the old army trucks. I remember going to Newburg on the old storm king highway in my dads baby blue and white 55 pontiac 2dr ht. My dad was an officer and taught there before going to Ft Bragg N.C. for Special Forces training. Those were the good ole days...John
