First off, thanks for the great G2G yesterday! It was nice to meet Maggie in person at last, and to see some of her merchandise for the HHR. (did anyone buy that visor she brought?)

Secondly ...

I'd like to get some opinions on he matter which Don Battista brought up to me last week. Woody from the PT Owner's Group has been talking to Don and Brian in regards to possibly linking up the local PTOG and WNYHHR, with the possibility of cooperatively showing at next year's Cruz. In other words, the Cruz would openly welcome both PT's and HHR's. (This is primarily in anticipation of dwindling new blood at PT events due to the model's phase-out)

Myself, I'm open to doing things this way. I want to open it up to the rest of the WNYHHR folks, especially those who didn't get to come to Lewiston yesterday. If we can get a yea or nay consensus, we can pass the word along to Woody.

sure... im not really part of the group since i havent been to anything yet... but i dont see a problem... so that means my GF can bring her BUG? if she wants?

 

I'd say go for it, I'd try making it. The more options for a g2g is nice ,it looks like a cool place to have a g2g..good luck

 

Before i decide on combineing up with the PT Cruiser group i will have to talk to Woody on account of He invited us to there get together Sat and no other PT people new about it.
In my opinion i don't think we were welcome at there function.
It was great seeing Maggie at the event along with the HHR group.

 

Speaking of Maggie ... if we could possibly get her to put in a word onour behalf, do you think that might grease the wheels some? I'm thinking about this because she seems to be the primary supporting vendor of the event, and also after one of the other PT folks made an offhand comment about knownig it was the only time she's up this way all year. If we had her support in this, would that make us any more acceptable?

 

I wasn't there on Saturday and have no way of knowing what kind of reception you guys got from the PT'ers other than Don B's comments, but I would have to think they wouldn't be too eager to have HHR's join their party. There are lots of shows to go to around here that welcome all makes and models where we know we'd be welcome by everyone. I guess I'd have to vote nay.

Officially from the PT group, there didn't appear to be much of a welcome. But the individual owners I talked to about their PT mods were very friendly and helpful, even after I told them I had an HHR.
