This is the second one I have seen with the extra piece of body colored plastic on the front of the rear fenders. Does anyone know why they all don't have that?? I know that the SSR's I have seen have the same thing on the front of their rear fenders. Is this some kind of fender protection if the HHR doesn't have running boards?

Mine has running boards and it does not have those.
