Baby got a new pair of shoes
Had the new tires put on last Friday. Couldn't get the tire I originally wanted so I got a set of the GoodYear Eagle GT's in a 225/45ZR18's. I arrived at Discount Tire at about 8am, and was done by 9am. I will say, they did a nice job and was very quick about the visit.
She got a quick bath after for a few shots.
Now the tires. First though when I saw them is they looked wider than the 225/40's that came off. Once installed, that was confirmed. The old tires were about even with the rim edge, the Eagle's are 1/4"-1/3" wider on each side. Not much, but noticiable. Nice part is, a larger rim guard.

These tires are right at 26" tall, so those that wonder how big you can go, well, not much taller....

Tread pattern is asymmetrical, you can see the pattern nicely from the dusty garage floor.

Fender gap is closed up a little more.

The look is different from what was on there before. ONly have about 200 miles on them so far. I can say I am impressed. Even in rain yesterday, it was a world of differance from the old Nexen's.

WOuld have been nice to test them last weekend when my driveway looked like this.
(please note the hilly terain, so no, it won't get lowered)

Out the door price for me, including road hazard at just under $800. Tread wear on these is listed as 400, Traction AA, Temp A. I should see 50K miles on them pretty easy. Discount will rotate and rebalance every 3K miles for free.
Thanks for viewing.....

The tires look nice (so does your house).
You could if you didn't mind approaching your driveway (and other severe dips and humps) slowly and at an angle.

You can see the tire tracks when I came home that day. I have to take that angle or I drag the back. It's more than it actually looks.
