Cobalt SS/TC wheels on HHR SS.

Is this a first!?

Well, I knew when I bought it I wanted some Cobalt SS/TC wheels and to lose the chrome, I was set on finding a mint OEM set but when that fell through, and a buddy bought an SS/TC a decision was made. Unfortunately the prior owner to his performed a ****ty rattle-can job on them, and after the tire place did further work I was determined to prep them and decide on a finish over the weekend. However, my wheels look damn hot on his TC, and these will look great once sprayed as they were straight otherwise.

That's pretty sharp? Looks kinda like the black chrome finish and wondered how that finish might look on a Victory Red SS....

Sadly that's just the result of a DA sander, and a half hour on a ****ty black rattle can job. Legit paint to come soon!

Thanks!

Dude don't waste your time sanding paint next time. Use paint stripper. I use Mar-Hyde paint remover on any metals that I am going to repaint. You can get it at any auto store. If you spray this stuff on it will bubble the paint off in less than 5 minutes then you can just rinse it off with your hose. It is amazing. Your gonna kick yourself in the ass when you realize the time you save. I put some on rubber and and let it sit for a while and it does not damage rubber so you could leave your tires on. Are you repainting or powder coating?

By the way those wheels already look sweet on there...black or charcoal is my vote.
